Races, bumper cars, & Magnum pop-up store: Easter Melrose Arch
Melrose Arch has come up with great activities for children during the Easter weekend. Oh, and did we mention there’s a Magnum pop-up shop on Sunday, as well as bumper cars in the afternoons? Here are the details:
On Saturday 20 April, from 09h00 to 17h00 there will be jumping castles, a face painter, arts and crafts, Thomas the Tank Engine tables and toy trains, a soft toy play area and a ball pond, and mini putt-putt to keep the kids busy while parents and friends can enjoy a meal around the Piazza.
Oh wait, then on Sunday 21 April from 09h00 to 17h00 the Piazza will be home to a bungee trampoline, jumping castles, a face painter, arts & crafts, a soft toy play area with a ball pond, and Thomas the Tank Engine tables and toy trains, as well as a Magnum pop-up shop (this could be one parents and friends may be particularly keen on) where ice-cream lovers get to create their own decadent treats.
The highlight on Easter Sunday is of course, an Amazing Race-style Easter egg hunt between 12h00 & 15h00. Starting on the Piazza, children will be given clues that will lead them from one destination to the next, ending at a pretty bunny cove where they’ll meet the Easter Bunny, have their photos take if they want, and claim their prize.
For the older kids, there’ll also be bumper cars on the Square on Saturday & Sunday from 12h00 to 19h00. While the rest of the Easter entertainment is free, the bumper cars cost R30 a ride.
