Pop into Ti Amo & embrace the aroma of freshly baked bread
There’s a new bakery in town. Ti Amo on Rivonia road might be in the corner of a garage shop, but that’s part of its off-beat charm along with the abundance of delicious freshly baked breads and other goods.
The two Italian brothers Amoretti make the frozen goods, homemade pasta and sauces, and other deli options like frozen lasagnes and cannelloni, and run the show. The breads are all freshly baked sourdough with delightful add-ons like olives and herbs. We can vouch for the fact that the sourdough olive bread is without reservation world class.
The friendly Chris runs the front shop, while his brother bakes and handles admin, orders and deliveries. They were practically begged to open the bakery by the owners of the garage, who had eaten their goods and clearly know a good thing when they taste it.
We will be returning for a slice of pizza or one of their outrageously creative and layered sandwiches, and possibly a vanilla custard filled doughnut (or any other) which based on feedback from social media sites are scrumptious.
Ti Amo is based inside the Deli Stock quick shop at the Shell garage at 49 Rivonia Road, next to Proline. They’re open from Mondays to Saturdays, though requests for them to open on Sundays starting to filter through. You can contact them on firstname.lastname@example.org , on their website https://tiamo.co.za/, on 083-6433061 or simply pop in.
