Elegant & classy fine-dining at 54 on Bath
The restaurant? classy and elegant fine-dining restaurant, but still casual…
The food? Think seared ‘yellow fin’ tuna, avocado mousse, wasabi power and pickles. ‘Black Angus’ Carpaccio, quail egg, pomegranate, truffle mayonnaise. A signature dish is the lobster bisque, there’s red pepper rouille, mussel, prawn and clams and the ‘miso’ broth with scallop.
One of our favourites was the sweet potato & ginger tart and the ‘Marino’ lamb (they served close to 80 portions in about 10 days). We can see why. There’s tomato risotto, dark chocolate ganache and vanilla panna cotta for further delights.
Don’t forget to experience the Parisian feel of the Perrier-Jouet bar and Garden with its sweeping terrace, quite the sundowner spot. It’s one of only three Champagne Perrier-Jouët bars in the country
